pictures are worth a thousand words ::
the hubby and i celebrated our 2 yr anniversary a week ago at the north fork. that's super east long island where there is wine tasting, strawberry picking, and an outlet mall. :) we did all 3. it was great to spend a whole day together and be in the lovely outdoors. beautiful scenery and weather = a happy couple. :)
on tuesday evening, my sis, BIL and baby boy came to visit. :) last time i saw my nephew, he was 3 weeks old. now he is 11 weeks old and so much chubbier. i can't get enough of him. sniffing him. kissing him. hugging him. i just want to be around him all the time. :) now some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

2. Tell us about your art. What do you make? How did you come to your craft?
I enjoy photography, graphic design, stained glass, mixed media paintings and paper mache.
3.What inspires your work?
I really can't sit still. I'd rather be junking or in my workshop. I've always been driven to create, and I have a passion for graphic design and reclaiming and repurposing materials. I love transforming something that might otherwise end up in a landfill into something beautiful, functional, and one-of-a-kind. I also love the art of the 20's and 30's and I've recently started painting vintage girl faces. My favorite material is recycling vintage French paper.
4.What are your goals for your shop?
Just do what I love to do. Create share and give. I support bloodwatermission.com. They provide clean blood and clean water for those in Africa.
5.What do you do when you are not creating?
I'm a wife, mommy and house keeper. I am very blessed to work at home and be available for my kids.
6.What brought you to Etsy? Do you sell anywhere else?
I sell in two shops in my area.
7. What is the most valuable thing you have learned from your art and being an Etsy seller? Don't give up on your art. It's easy to get discouraged as you see other sellers. I do what I do because I enjoy it.
8. What is your passion for the world or the burden on your heart?
I've been a part of bloodwatermission.com for a few years. They provide clean water and clean blood to those in Africa. I guess my passion for the world is love. Love for others and caring for those that are in need. Surrender, Serve, Sacrifice and Give. Kind of a saying I've always had rolling around in my head for years. Caring and loving those that need it most.

"I really had to think about this question. If I chose just one passion in my heart, I would not be representing myself accurately. First and foremost, God and all He creates. My creativity and inspiration comes from nature and flowers all over the world. The gorgeous colors and different types of flowers that paint the earth inspire me to create the wreaths, arrangements and hair accessories. There is passion in my heart for my husband - my soul mate who supports everything that I dream! And finally crafting is such a passion for me. If I am having a bad day, I can pick up a handful of silk flowers and become lost in my creativity!"
